Simon Thomas: How can we live after death?

In this webinar conversation in the Questions of our Times series, Simon Thomas, host of Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports and author of the book Love Interrupted, which is about the loss of his wife to cancer, shares his journey through grief, and talks about faith and mental health, in response to the question: How can we live after death?

To see Simon Thomas, former Blue Peter presenter, talking with fellow pundits on Sky Sport’s popular Soccer Saturday show, is to witness someone at the top of their game. He comes across the consummately professional presenter. Away from the screen, however, he has known times of anxiety, depression and tragedy. In November 2017, his wife Gemma died of leukaemia. She was just 40 years of age, and left him with their eight-year-old son, Ethan. Alongside his broadcasting career, Simon is now President of Blood Cancer UK.

The host for Questions of Our Times is Major Nigel Bovey, former editor of the Salvation Army magazine The War Cry, and the author of several books. His latest book, Browsing the Bible is a guide for anyone who wants to get started (or who wants to keep on reading) the Bible. Find our review of the book here: A guide to browsing the Bible.
